Late Life Domestic Violence support groups provide education and support for victims of domestic violence who are age 50 and older. The Area Agency on Aging, Region One offers these support groups throughout Maricopa County. Groups meet weekly and address the cycle of violence, types of abuse, communication, self-esteem, and the impact of economic, social, and religious beliefs on divorce or separation.  Groups provide a safe place in which participants can support each other in the decisions they are facing; and can often bring hope and humor to a seemingly hopeless situation.

For more information on support groups in your area or assistance from DOVES® please call the 24-hour Senior HELP LINE: 602-264-HELP (4357) TTY/TDD 602-241-6110.  Support Groups are a good place to start.
